February Winter Weddings are exceptionally elegant and romantic. If you love the Victorian era with all the antique lace, pearls and pastel shades of pinks, lavenders, greens and creams, then having your ceremony in February should be just the ticket for you.
February weddings always have a distinct Romantic Dreamy Quality to them that simply cannot be duplicated during any other time of year.
The month of February seems to be made and specifically designed for the purpose of joining male and female energies into one harmonious union. Where typically on the surface February weddings appear to present as a more gentle and refined ceremony and gathering, there is also present in the ambiance of the ceremony a deep and pure passion which does not go unnoticed by all who attend. It's really quite magical to witness.
When selecting decorations for your February wedding it's all about elegance, grace.
Choose items and materials that are soft and silky to the touch. For visual effects choose the soft flickering glow of candles illuminating the wedding alter through bejeweled pastel or crystal votives to set the mood.
For the menu, think creamy and decadent with a flair of richly exotic flavors, such as chocolate dipped strawberries infused with Grand Marnier or Liquore Galliano. For the wedding cake consider a delicate white cake with alternating raspberry and dark chocolate fudge filling. For the icing go with the sensual delights of a rich butter cream that melts in your mouth. Offer Pink Champagne to complement your decadent treats and to celebrate the deep romance of the moment.
If you are planning a February wedding, you have chosen the most intensely romantic times of the year to have your wedding nuptials. After all, February is all about love, isn't it?
The two of you likely understand the art of love and romance. Congratulations!
Ring Security Agent : Children In Ceremonies.
By Rev. Laura C. Cannon
It’s often a huge dilemma- how do I include older children in my ceremony? This couple knocked it out of the park. Ring Bearers have been done, but Ring Security? That is a new trend that I definitely buy into.
Ceremony Officiants provides wedding officiants for hundreds of weddings each year, so we get to have a front row seat to new wedding trends as they develop. And there are some that we just can’t keep to ourselves.
On August 31st, Reverend Laura Cannon arrived at The Great Room in Historic Savage Mill to officiate Stephanie and Brian’s wedding. But Ring Security stole the spotlight, showing a creative new way to involve children in wedding ceremonies. This little man was dressed in gear fit for a Secret Service agent as he walked down the aisle- and even better? It was clear that he was loving it.
Many couples want to involve children in their ceremonies, but wonder how best to include them. Our advice? Ask them! Some flower girls would rather spend your ceremony in the flowerbeds than put on a frilly dress. And from experience, if you try and force little Elizabeth to wear the dress, the flower bed is where she’ll end up. Dress and all.
And you may find that little Logan you love would rather not be the center of attention during that walk down the aisle. Knowing that before the wedding day will save you the pre-walk attack of shyness. Perhaps Logan can be the bride’s personal body-guard or usher only the very important guests to their seats. Either way, I’m sure he has some ideas. Some ideas might involve dinosaurs or surf boards, but with some gentle steering in the right direction, you can work out his role together.
So, when it comes to kids- involve them in the planning. You’d be surprised and amused by the ideas children come up with for their role in your wedding ceremony.
